Returning to work after MLK Jr. Day. Impeachment begins. Unfinished business at work. Event after work. Welcome to the week. I read a blog about how around this time in January, people have already stepped away from their New year resolutions. I don’t have them, just goals. I wonder how many people impulses Planet Fitness’s end of year push. It’s cold, like Winter now. I need new boots. For now, I’ll add insoles and new laces.
The goal I brought to the head of the class is this, writing. I am writing, right now. news on the speaker, cause I’m adult AF. Coffee on, muffin I made, who am I? My backyard is a daycare for squirrels and raccoons. My cat, Noobs, has a routine. They are a part of it. Babe’s still in bed, late start...lucky. Does he even know? Not us, though. We are early to rise. I take a break and arrange the refrigerator door. New postcards for upcoming events. Keep them on the radar.
I’m looking at a new Funko Pop on the shelf. Shangela. It’s for babes. Thought he would get a kick out of my hobby, his entertainment. I’m looking towards my kitchen and I would kind of rather be there all day. Make a starter for sourdough. Biscuits for breakfast. brownies for fun. I think , if I only worked 3 days a week, I would bake and bring it to work. I feel like, I take on new dimensions without making any official time changes for.
To my left, books about theatre and play scripts. Is this my office? Being surrounded by all that inspires me? Could I get up every morning and do the work, at home? Here, there is an office cat. to my right are the cooking books and more books about theatre. I could work from home, I feel. I could do the work I want to do from home.
The beginning of the year has been a bit slow for podcasting. I have irons for later in the month. It always works like this. February picks up with Theatre Week. Ive got a list. Should start reaching out soon. Different events this week. Networking, Media events. They’ve been interesting and a direction I want to move into. One thing I would be able to handle, working from home, the hovering. Babe likes to hover. And, he makes a lot of noise. I don’t think he’s present, on this planet. Wherever he goes, it seems like an obliviously wonderful place to be.
So, at any point in time, during the day, my mind is focused on these things. IT, Baking, Podcasting, Theatre, Babes, Noobs and Writing. Ive been thinking more about where would be the best place to have these thoughts. It’s a new year, new decade, is it time for dramatic change?
